Specs and zoning for shooting range - Victoria

Post by Bark » 23 Oct 2014, 2:49 pm

I've Googled to the best of my ability and can't find a single thing on this :|

Not something they want people to know...

I know a few guys here are involved with ranges, can anyone point me to the requirements for operating a legal range in Victoria here?

I believe there are land size specs depending on what calibre you want, and zoning requirements as well but can't find anything.

Hoping someone can help, thanks.

In NSW we can find just about anything on the Police website for firearms.
The Range users guide pdf is worth reading for what is required it even covers indoor range
http://www.police.nsw.gov.au/services/firearms/ranges

The Senate inquiry into firearm violence had a Vic policeman claiming they had better internet services, try sending them an email ask for a link.

Thanks mate.

Some good info there as a guide I guess, we'll see how much lines up with Victoria if I can find it.
