Best result for my Marlin

Post by Patrol66 » 04 Dec 2014, 7:11 pm

After going through numerous different brands , etc of ammo. I think I have found a good one. SK subsonic.

Shots were taken from a bench with front rest and rear bag at Springvale @ 50m. Very happy I am.

Cheers,
Brad

Good job, nice tight groups. Great feeling discovering the magic pill for a rifle, some you find easy and others you chase for ages.

Yep.

I tried over a dozen types to find the right one for my .22. It was about the last one type too when I got to it, so hundreds of frustrating rounds and thinking the rifle was a lemon before I got there

Was very pleased for my 7mm though, a mate at my LGS has the same rifle and did all the hard work with load development. Picked up the rifle and his secret recipe on the same day and was away without any load testing at all.

Forgot...

If you're interested Brad, I'm at Springvale pretty regularly too. We could go for a shoot some time.

PM me if interested.

If SK subsonic shoots good for you, have you tried SK Rifle Match?

Same package except red instead of green if you're looking for the boxes on the shelf.

Good chance it could shoot even better for you.

+1 in my experience also.

With SK Sub-Sonics best 10 shot group in my Anschutz was 0.76"

Rifle Match 10 shot group was down to 0.63" :)

Still rate the RWS above all though ;)
