Cheeky little bastard...

Post by Wes » 19 Oct 2013, 10:34 am

Took my boy to the range this morning for his first shoot with a new .243 for him.

Got it sighted in with some 60gr light loads for him, and put out a quick group to see that all was ok. Shot about 1 and 1/2 inch group fine so handed it over too him.

He puts 2 shots straight through the bullseye then tells me he's retired and isn't going to shoot again because he's outdone me and wants to keep his record at that...

Cheeky little...

Hardly. I'm 41 and he's only 12! I've still got a few years before he's the boss.

Seems it's common with kids having their first go! I took my 3 - G14; b16;b18 to an open day at the Echuca pistol club and the final comment from the instructors was, "she's not putting dad under any pressure now is she?" ONE of daughters tens was through the geographical centre of the target and both sons ONLY shot 9's and 10's with pistols never having touched one before!
There's still a few of Wile. E Coyote's ideas that I haven't tried yet.
