Try increasing the sensitivity :D

I had cranked it up but will try lower sensitivity next time too.
It's giving me a "Sensor2 crossing bad" error with the DGXs. The federals are working fine. I'm also going to try adding the other spacer, tried that at the range but even th longer screws weren't long enough.

Mine's been good no matter what I threw across it though the spacing is critical. I've never bother to screw the spacers on, hold the gauge on the sensor then hand fit with different spacers till I get it right. Belt tension is plenty enough to hold it in place even on a 50BMG.

Went to the range with a friend, had a blast for good 6 hours. Then ran out of ammo and went to get burgers. The end.

Garbage rod? It's that something specific to Tasmania? ;)

308 came along, 7.62x54R (M38 this time, 91/30 stayed home) tagged along too, 17HMR - was a bit windy for it actually, but did alright. And a 223. Was friend's first trip to the range since he got his permit, so we had fun.

Nah, its just a term I picked up from a fellow youtuber.

Well, for a birthday treat I went out and collected a wallaby from state forest. I went to get another one at 100m with 22LR, but the kentucky elevation ended up me slinging it into dirt mound behind it spooking it away. Ah well, I still got my hide and meat.

Seymour Black Powder Club had a mid range gong shoot on Sunday. We shot four events (all off cross sticks) from 300 yards to 600 yards and I'm pleased to say that at the 600 yard "big buffalo" event I managed my first perfect score of 10 hits for 10 shots! I use a Pedersoli Sharps falling block rifle in .40-65 The bullets are cast 415 gn Postell type, 57 gns compressed 3f powder, a 1/8" grease cookie is under a loose seated bullet that's pushed well into the rifling when loaded.
There's still a few of Wile. E Coyote's ideas that I haven't tried yet.

finally loaded up some different recipe's for my new 223 over the weekend and then went to the range for testing. was loading 69gr Nosler CC with BM2 in a 1/8 twist T3 SS varmint. Ended up with 22.5g being optimal powder load with decent small groups (although some improvement opportunity still to go). COL is out at 2285, perhaps some more playing to do here.. After testing completed and for laughs, i punched a group of factory 55gr through the paper... and the group was horrible (as expected)

Thanks Brett for lending me the case gauge! my new one will arrive today so i have yours back in the city - i'll call you today.
