I won me a Medal!

Post by jennageit » 16 Jul 2015, 8:19 pm

Hi guys,

Well, it's been forever since I last posted in this forum. Life has been absolute hell, and just as I thought it was settling down, looks like we're moving house again! It never ends lol

Anyway, I have been making it down the range ever Wednesday night, putting holes in the 20 metre Benchrest Targets, and up until about a month ago, the 50 metre Benchrest Targets.

I've been entering lots of postal competitions, and the last 7 or 8 weeks have seen me entering the TRV 20m pennant.

But that's not the exciting bit.

Earlier this year, the guys entered me in the Captians 1500 Benchrest postal comp. I sort of remember shooting the cards, but to be honest, I've probably shot in excess of 50 of them since then, so they didn't stay very high on my radar.

I was entered in D Grade because I had few previous scores, and those scores were certainly nothing to write home about!

I get this phone call from my mate (and Range Officer) one night telling me I'd won the Gold Medal! I just about fell over! Well, I would have but I was still in the wheelchair at the time (which I am no-longer in all the time - major plus!).

So I thought I'd share, and brag maybe just a little lol

Also, I submitted my first PTA last week, and will be purchasing a very nice Anschutz Target Rifle in the coming weeks that the guys have found for me. It'll sit nicely in the safe with the other Anschutz I'm buying (prone rifle), and I'll then be set, or mostly.

Take care guys, shoot straight, and have fun!

Jenna

Gratz Jenna,

And just FYI, I edited your picture to blur out the last name. Best to be cautious with that stuff for obvious reasons.

Thanks guys.
I'm very happy. Oh, and thanks for editing my surname out. Wasn't really thinking when I put it up lol

I'm picking it up from the Jewellers tomorrow after the engraving, so there'll be more smiles lol

Take care guys, and thanks again.
