No worries bigrich I picked up ANOTHER half a dozen 22lr brands today. I think that now makes 23ish lol. Lucky it's not a beauty contest, your Weihrauch would win hands down over my plain Jane Voere.

New Weihrauch at 35m shooting SK Standard Plus and SK Rifle Match 5-shot groups. The sloppy groups were me, not the rifle.

What are you using for point of aim?
I would aim at one of the bottom corners of the square, although a diamond gives a finer aim.
I shoot much better groups when I aim at the corner of a piece of tape rather than at anything larger.

Ah, I was just using the centre of the ring. If I played my part, the rifle would put five shots through one hole. Interestingly here's the same rifle in a different stock using the same ammo, same scope and no other adjustments - the POI has shifted simply by having it sit in another stock. Goes to show how sensitive 22s are to bedding. The sporter stock was not quite as consistent as the other match stock.

Trying out some old PMC Zapper that I still had, and some CCI Minimags.
Both shot at 50m. Nothing spectacular but thought I would chuck them up anyway.

got my 1960 made krico back from the smith after a reblue, so it'll be another couple of hundred rounds before it's got a buildup of lead in the barrel again. but the results look good so far. using eley subsonic hp's this is a ten shot group with two flyers :unknown:

How often to you give your 22 a pull through mate?

For me it depends on the individual rifle. I monitor how many I'm putting through it and when I see accuracy dropping off I clean it. If accuracy improves again then I know I need to clean it a little sooner than that next time. With my bolt-actions anywhere from maybe 800rds to 1500rds. With my lever-actions actions I have to strip the guts out for regular cleaning anyway so I clean the bore while I'm in there - generally around 300rds. Just solvent and patches though, I've never needed as brush in a .22LR bore. Most of the fouling is just lubricant. The chamber needs cleaning more regularly sometimes. I never use a pull-through though.

after each shooting session, i push a nylon brush from the chamber end , unscrew at the barrel, refit and push through again. i do this about five times. then a couple of oil lubed patches to get rid of any powder residue and leave a layer of oil to keep rust at bay. this method is to remove powder residue, but not the build-up of lead in the barrel. i only shoot lead projectiles , so there's no copper to worry about. the accuracy out of my 22 lr's has been much better since adopting these rules/methods. i bought a weihrauch hw66 that's only ever shot lead, and now it's over the 1000 round mark, it's starting to make one hole groups with the right ammo. just got a bushnell 6-18x40 rimfire scope for it, hopefully i should be able to tighten my groups a little more. so will post some groups after this coming weekend
