SSAA Range at Little River has long range, not sure if it's 800m+ thou

I do recall reading they have "Extended long distance" days.

I know Buchan allows any legal caliber, I think only to 500 yards though.

Little river is 500m max, one of the ranges along the coast or even better private property is your best bet

Mildura LRSC I think stretches to 800yds and you can shoot 50BMG there. I know for a fact it's at least 600yds and I've shot 50BMG there, I know they were talking about using another range that we could run the 2 mile event on. I'll see what I can find out about the 3400m range and report back in a few days or so.

Not as yet, I've been away and the guy down there is also away. I'll try him during the week and see what I can find out, I only have his landline number so can't email or txt him.

The Mildura range is 630 meters to the rear mound so a little over 700 yards there was talk of it being extended out to 1000m in the future
the 3200m range is across the border in NSW not sure maybe 100 km's from Mildura not sure of its status at the moment it was on private land from memory

A good scoop of luck involved in that distance too though.

I think to get out to long range in metro Melbourne, you will need to check out the Victorian Rifle Association.

I know they have a range out the back of Werribee.

Far as I know it's quite strict and formal in the way they operate however.

Check out the VRA at:
