Sweet, I haven't been out there that time of year "March" for a shoot. I hate the heat.

May is not a definite, we're still sorting out a weekend so as not to clash with other users.
I'll post more when info available.

Just keep reloading!

Does anybody know what happened to the "test target backer" - look(ed) like a small table top, 'blown plactic' type & was supposed to last about 2-5,000 holes.

Last seen on the Thursday night prior to the weekend.

We need a report on it. 1 - did it work as advertised, 2 - how well did it perform, 3 - is anything left of the 'test backer' ?

The third weekend in March is our City vs Country shoot. Service pistol & rifle, SSAA stuff, graded in both pistol & rifle.

Weekend consists of:
Friday - Pistol matchs from 9.30am, followed by Trainer & .310 Cadet in the afternoon.
Saturday - 300m Deliberate, 3P core & Rapid B - along with Metalic Silhouettes (one distance closer than the scoped open shoot).
Sunday - Modified rifle & Sniper shoots.

Date: 14 - 16th March at Windamere Regional Shooting Complex.

PM me for other stuff or prompt me to post, sometimes I forget we don't all know what is planned & happening, so just ask.

I will ask, it got well used, seemed to hold up ok. Shotgun 7 1/2s wouldn't touch it at 50m not surprisingly ;). It seemed to self heal ok.

I did see one in a Sydney gunshop for $100, almost died. LOL

I give it in good authority (Ex reven) that it was left in the target shed in range 1

I'll find it next weekend & "test again" on range 2. Got BR on the Sunday morning, might just bring the 6.5 out to try at 200m.

Thanks Chronos.

Possible next "forum weekender".

Easter weekend - April 18 - 20, Friday to Sunday.

Any takers ?

Discuss this, as it's not booked in BUT is possible.

As mentioned earlier, the other users must be allowed for when planning.
Range 1 occupied:
I've got the 3rd weekend (a 4 dayer) for City vs Country, 4th w/e is Colonial State Championships (3 days), 5th w/e workingbee & by then I done in/worn out.
April - 2nd Sunday BR centrefire, Easter (3rd w/e) BR centrefire, 4th w/e our local ANZAC shoot, both days.
May - 2nd Sunday BR, 3rd is Biggame Rifle on Range 1 on the Saturday, 4th w/e clashes with the WBB on AHN.
Then the weather gets colder........

This is why I suggested Easter, if we want a Metalic range to 400m & stay/camping/cooking is a lot easier to sort out.

The Metalic Silhouette range is 500m but a bugger to do the 500m rams, need a 4x4 & not much in the way of facilities (as yet).

Bring them along, they will learn something new!

Perhaps only if they are 12 or older, with hearing protection & camp well away from the shed & bluddy wombats :D

Sorry chief, but I can't leave the kids at Easter & I really don't want to take them out there when I'm the one that needs the rest. I've got a 4 day cull on from the Wednesday following Easter so I was going to try & combine it all. Bloody kids! Lol
