I was down at LR on Saturday and I don't think that I have ever seen it as quiet. While I was shooting with one of the sub-clubs (handguns), there was only a handful of people on the main range.

I guess that people were put off by the weather forecast, however, while there was a bit of a breeze from roughly the east, it wasn't bad and the only rain was a light drizzle for about 10mins early morning (0930ish), the remainder of the day, while overcast was really quite pleasant.

We shot CSD State Pistol Titles today, again main range was fairly quiet and we also only had light rain periods. They just happened between the words "Look forward and identify your target" and "Cease Fire!" The rest of the time it was fairly good. After the last detail the sun came out for a bit!

Well I rocked up! (Although I completely forgot about it and only remember by chance when I was walking up and down the range perving on all the sick expensive guns I can't own and I saw the sign.)

Also saw the cowboy action shooting and it looked like a lot of fun so I think me and the misses will go next time and have a crack.

Also OP has a sick Jap rifle that you all missed out on shooting. Not saying your less of a gun owner for not shooting it but it was a very pretty gun.

looks like it will be a challenging day. Plenty of wind up here on the hills.

At times the wind was a little challenging, the wind would die down a little here n there.
Still had a good day, really nice groupings at 50m with the small caliber and managed to hit an 8” target at 300m with the 223. I still have the crappy blurry scope on it, just waiting for stock of a new scope to arrive.
Hung out with my son & his friend. Was a good day.

Alrighty last time I managed to pick possibly the best weekend of the year
:sarcasm: So let's hope this time goes a bit smoother.

I was thinking the 4th of March,
It's a Sunday so most will be off work, it's a few weeks before opening weekend so the waterfowlers can still make it.
Get a few guys together, have a shoot and a chat, possibly a sneaky beverage after everything is packed up.
