Anyone watching the biathlon?

Cannot imagine trying to shoot straight after cross country skiing. Flat out standing up after cross country skiing!
How much does a biathlon rifle weigh?

Fn awesome sport!

Bugger, I missed it again!
The rifles weigh in at 4.5kg, there's something for all the " too heavy for a walk about hunting rifle" brigade. :sarcasm:

wow. heavier than I thought.
Huffing and puffing and standing on skis - that is some skill hitting those targets, and you have to hit them all before you can move on!

Not something I watch but I have a lot of respect for the participants. As said above to be able to do all that exercise and then put
ya rounds on target requires a skill set above
What I'm capable of  :drinks:

I've watched most of the Biathlon. Watching the women's 4x6km relay right now actually. Always enjoy the Biathlon.

Years ago I was successful in smallbore rifle so I considered Biathlon but after doing cross country for a while, I like snowshoes much better. Wouldn't rule it out in the future.

Over in countries like Germany, it's one of the most watched spectator sports and they've got multi million euro prize funds and pro Biathletes.

Hey...is it just me, or does "PyeongChang" sound like a ricochet...?

As if plinking at the farms dump & a .22lr bounced off a lump of limestone & hit an old car body...
