Scsa tsp x vs mdt ess gen 2?

Post by Josh.e » 14 Jul 2022, 11:04 am

Hi all looking at getting a chassis system for my Lithgow La102 in 308 and pretty much narrowed it down to these two, I know the ESS is roughly double the price but I'd be willing to pay the extra if it were worth the cost. Mostly using it for target shooting from a bench. If any one on here has tried out both could they give their opinion

Hey, both are solid options, but it really depends on what you're after. The MDT ESS is pricier, but it offers more customization, a sleeker design, and better ergonomics, which can make a difference for bench shooting. The Oryx, on the other hand, is more budget-friendly and still performs well, but it’s a bit heavier and less refined. If you’re serious about precision and comfort, the ESS might be worth the splurge. If you’re just looking for solid performance without breaking the bank, the Oryx is a great choice. Hope that helps!
