Winchester/miroku 1895 feeding issues.

Hello, I have recently picked up a Winchester / miroku 1895 and have been experiencing some feeding issues. Does anyone know if this is a known issue with these or if I’m just stupid. I’m aware of how they are supposed to be loaded but just can’t get the rounds to feed sometimes. Thanks
