Best Factory Loads for CZ527 223

Hi, Picked up a CZ527 Ebony in 223 and wondering which factory loads people are having the best results with. Its a 1:9 twist and so far doesn't seem to like the above 60gn loads too much. Tried Winchester Ranger 64gn and they tend to shoot all over the place.
Had good success with the Fiocchi 50gn 223 V-MAX and others around 55gn so seeing what others have experienced so far with the CZ's.

mate, if you can get them, try 69 gr 223 "outback" ammo. this load shoots ragged one hole groups at 100 in tikkas with fast twist rates

First off, congrats on the new gun, honestly couldn't be happier with mine in .223, for me the factory ammo that shot the best before I started to develop my own loads for it, were the OSA Buffalo River/ADI/Outback 55gr BlitzKing, OSA Buffalo River/ADI/Outback 55gr GameKing both shot 0.5moa no worries, I never tried the 69gr MatchKings as I really only use it to hunt with but I've only heard good things. The Hornady 60gr V-Max TAP, Hornady 55gr V-Max, Federal Premium 60gr Nosler Partition, Geco 55gr Express and the 50gr V-Max Fiocchi Shot all shot under 1moa in mine too, and just as with yours the Winchester 64gr Ranger shot everywhere.

I can highly recommend getting into reloading if you want even more accuracy and also try some really cool projectiles, as well as save some money in the long run. At the moment I've been playing around with my own loads I'm messing around with heaps of different projectiles like the Berger 55gr FB Varmint and the Nosler Varmageddon in both 53gr and 55gr for Foxes and Rabbits, and also testing the 60gr Nosler Partition's and the 60gr Nosler BT Varmint's for Roo's, I've also got some 50gr Barnes Varmint Grenade's, 55gr Speer TNT's and 60gr Sierra HP's waiting be loaded up to give a go and test when I get around to it.
Happy Shooting!

Not sure about the performance in the CZ however I have found the 55gn Outback ammo to be quite accurate.

Thanks guys, yea have been using the Outback ammo, seems to go well. May try the 69gn as well and compare to the Winchester Ranger. Been looking at the Hornady range so will give that a try in the 55 and 60.
Enjoy shooting the CZ in 223, makes a change from the 243 and the 308!

Mate the 1:9 twist will prob prefer the heavier projectile weights too in my limited experience.
I have a 1:12 and it likes the 55gn.

I don't have a CZ, but I tried Winchester 69gn Match in my Howa 24" 1:9 and they were all over the place like a mad woman's knitting.

I weighed the cases and there was a difference of up to 2gn in the 20 I weighed.

I don't even bother reloading with Winny brass.
ADI is far superior, and as mentioned above the Buffalo River factory ammo is great stuff.

There is also the probability that you are a much better shot than me.

I agree with the advice about OSA/Buffalo River ammo. It is not only amazingly accurate, but it is made in Australia [using local and imported products]. Half the battle in producing accurate ammo is to use quality components, and in Sierra bullets, they have adhered to that policy. I THINK the brass is made by ADI, and I have no idea what primer is used, but it must be okay, because every person I've come across using this ammo gets very good accuracy. Two points; [1] Lots of people want to use heavy bullets in .223s these days, but unless you are shooting long range targets, there's no real benefit - in fact quite the opposite, because the case size favours lighter bullets, not heavier. If you are going to hunt larger animals, use a larger caliber, not try to turn the .223 from an excellent varmint cartridge into a very mediocre medium game one. Point two, hold on to your brass. In time, you may want to reload, although with that OSA stuff, it will take you quite a while to make ammo either better or cheaper than you can buy it - unless you shoot A LOT! If you hunt with it, buy it in bulk in the little plastic trays and you should be able to get it for around $80-$85/100. If you buy Sierra bullets by the 100, you will pay over $50/100 just for the bullets, never mind the powder and primers.

Hi,
I have a cz527 in 7.62x39.....Sellier and Bellot is the best factory ammo in it. Hornady and PPU are about the same, both no way near as good as S&B. Barnaul and Winchester were appalling.
Cz is a Czech company and so is S&B.....I guess S&B are making their ammo to suit cz rifles.
