G'day All,
Thought id post a quick photo of a rifle i recently put together for a bit of longer range target / varminting (on somewhat of a budget).
-Howa 1500 in .243 with 24" varmint barrel.
- GRS Berserk stock.
- 1lb trigger spring conversion.
- Wild dog 10rnd detachable magazine kit & bottom metal.
- Nightforce 20MOA rail
- Vortex precision matched rings.
- Wheeler anti-cant fold out level.
- Sightron Siii 6-24x50 scope.
- Harris Bipod.
I took it to the range yesterday for a quick sight in. Ill be working some loads up this week with some Berger 95gr VLD's. So far it shoots great! I cant wait to stretch her legs out!

What do you think of the GRS stock? I have only held one but they look like a good thing. What sort of long range target competitions are you interested in?

So far, so good! very comfortable in prone and at the bench, I'm extremely happy with it. Adjustable LOP and cheek riser really lend to a consistent and comfy shouldering.
I'm really new to the LR stuff, so iv started from scratch with putting this together in a bid to learn the basics. The end goal being to test my skill out to 1000yrds. long term ill look at re-barreling in to a 6mm Super LR or .243 AI as the factory 1:10 twist hamstrings me to the lighter pills for now.

The factory barreled action shot superbly with Federal 75gr factory ammo. well and truly sub-moa after a quick sight in and running the barrel in. I should be out to test the first round of hand loads this weekend.
