Rather than make my own post I'm gonna add to yours (not trying to hijack)

I picked up a Lynx red dot for my scout today

Tried to take a photo of the reticle but it didn't come out so good lol. Can't wait to get it sighted in and have some fun

Looks great.

Never heard of Lynx. Strictly red dot or is there any magnification?

Also, what sling is that? I pretty much hate my cheapo one but I needed to grab something before hunting season started this year.

Yeah no magnification. I was tempted to get a smaller red dot and one of those flip up 3x magnification rigs but in the end I liked the look of the Lynx and it was significantly cheaper

The sling is a Brownell's competitor plus. They're awesome, I've started putting them on all my rifles. They're designed so you can wrap your front arm up in them and make a solid shooting platform when standing.

They come in tan as well but I like the black ones

Love the burris setup Eduardo. I'm still debating to go the traditional way or scout setup ( since I have astigmatism in one eye, I'm not sure It would work for me ). But looking at that i'll definitely have to check it out :)

What's the deal there? Can't focus on the long eye relief setups?

Cant say I bought it for the forward mounted scope. I mean it is cool and works for alot of folks. I bought it because I love carbines and the easy to adjust Length of pull, along with the iron sights as backups. And you have to admit diving into a big mob of pigs with 10 rounds in a box magazine is pretty AWESOME * Huge Cheesy Pig Eating Grin *

Sorry for not answering you Jordy. Well from what Ive heard it can be a drama, But truth be told Ive never had an issue with a handgun scope, not that Ive used one in a couple years. So Im thinking if it gets worse I'll be using a regular scope anyway down the track.
