Been it for a little bit mate. Shoot alright. In aus they are 3300.... making them very possibly the cheapest 338lapua.

But all I see on Facebook is...oh i got this gun.. now i am waiting on a scope.... or how good it shoots at 100m.

Lol

Nope at that price point they should have a decent trigger....

I heard that Ruger had really picked up the quality of their barrels and people are getting some good results. Your 223 and 7mm are Rugers? What size groups are you getting from them?

7mm around 3.5" to 4.5" at 1026y and between 5" and 7" at 600y with 55g zombie max .
The 223 is getting a 1:8 Maddo as lilja soon and that will tighten it up with Berger 80g VLD .
My avatar is a group at just over 1200 with the Berger 168g VLD
Think it was 1216 yards

Great shooting using 55 grain ZMax at 600 yards, I used them at 300 metres to shoot just under an inch once and thought I was stretching their legs. I am guessing you were using a 223. Is the group in your Avatar three shots or five?

3 ..... I know all the arguments about groups some say 3 some say 7 and some say 10 I group with 3 and don't have to muck trouble hitting things waaaay out in the next 2 paddocks. Got an old vid if you want to see it at 1026y and one of the 260r hitting a rabbit sized steal plate .
