Ruger American twist rates

Hey there, just wondering if anyone can clarify a question about Ruger American .223 twist rates.
My cousin is planning on buying one, his LGS said they only come in 1/12 twist rate. As far as I knew they were a 1/8?
I dunno I could be wrong, and don't know a heck of a lot about them.
Cheers

8"-twist in .223.
The Hawkeye is 9"-twist, but I think you'd have to go back a couple of decades to find them in 12".

Old Mate won’t be disappointed, got a Ruger American Predator in .223 and love it, puts 5 shots of 55gr factory ammo well under an inch.

Yeah by all reports they shoot quiet well. I'll pass this info on to him.
