2 weeks ago I bought a 505 and am just waiting for my PTA to arrive.

I got some loaded rounds with it, and I definitely think that they are not for the recoil sensitive.

Woodleigh 525 grn soft points, 138 grns of 2213sc.

Woodleigh 600 grn Protective Points, 129 grns 2213SC.

Hornady DGX 525 grn SP's 136 grns RE 17.

Will let you know how it performs on Buffalo very shortly.

Cheers Baz.

Yeah im expecting the recoil to be stout but thats parts of the deal.

thanks for the load data seems to not be a heap in written literature that i own

ill report back once iv shot mine.

Cracker.
I have a CZ Safari Grade 505 Gibbs and have just returned from a buff hunting trip in the Territory.
The 505 with 130 gns of AR 2213SC and a 600 grn Woodleigh PP is absolutely devastating on the largest of bulls, shoulder shots would blow them of there feet.
You will not be disappointed with your decision to go with a 505, providing you don't us nanna loads, so get it and enjoy.
Cheers Baz.

Bill, I hunted with Aaron Corbett from Australian Outback Buffalo Safaris, and it was great. I spent two weeks with Aaron, and he shot a bull over 100 inches with my Gibbs and is now hooked on the big bores.
Aaron said he has never seen buff react to a bullet like from the 505.
Cheers, Baz.

maybe try and reduce the resolution abit, right click to edit usually around 1200x800 is plenty

I also use ' BBI image hosting ' , click on BBcode full link and then copy and paste

Bill it’s a Leupold VX 111 1x5. About the Weatherby Bill, I had it for 30 years and I got pretty crook back a few years ago, and unfortunately sold it. Absolutely loved it, then got a 500 double, had trouble with that, then got the Gibbs.
