New license

Red letter day today. Got my license after a quick trip to the RTA, then straight to the LGS to pick out my 2 Howa's. The Permit to Acquire is lodged for both, now more waiting time. They call it a cooling off period, but I think you get hot under the collar instead.

Thanks for all the good thoughts men, No I'm a bit past getting hot under the collar, getting upset at the government is like getting upset at an inanimate object. It's a bit like being a kid on Christmas Eve again, you think it'll never get there. I've got a few properties not too far from home here in Northern NSW with some good deer country over on the Tableland as well as some good pigs and goat country. The rifles are a 308 sporter weight with a fluted barrel and a 3-9x50 Leopold VX1 and a heavy barrel 223 with 4-12x40 VX1. Already have the reloading bench set up. I joined the SSAA some time back and will be doing some light benchrest with the 223, Lapua brass and probably 52gn Sierra Matchkings for a start. I'm back into shooting after an absence of about 30 years. Hope I haven't lost my touch.
Cheers,
John

Sorry to be the voice of doom, but I suspect you're not much of a shot after that long away
