Beautiful looking rifle it came up well with the grease removed.

fired 3 rounds here, a little more than 200 meters shooting at a tree stump, good accuracy, shoot low or high you can see the dirt smokes in front or behind the stump, shoot at the stump couldn't see anything I reckon the bullet went into the stump so can see nothing

Are you planning on hunting with it ? I’ve taken mine on a few trips found it great for brassing up mobs of pigs.

yes, at least make one or two successful hunting trip then keep it for my son, I've got a sporterized long branch No. 4 for regular hunting although the barrel needs to be replaced, any suggestions? I'd like to replace a short barrel and keep the iron sight

Try T-Bone Shipwriting in Coogee - he’s placing a Lothar-Walther order in Feb so you could probably order the exact profile to match your stock. Otherwise I know he usually stocks extra No 4 barrels - you might just need to to wait until after the shipment arrives (when he has plenty of fresh stock).

slightly polish the rear stock to match the front stock pattern and colour
fresh timber looks pale but will turns red/amber after few week/month

aimed at the bottom edge of the big red dot, 300 yard peep sight, 18cm higher at 50 meters
