Thanks Stix, yes the barrel appears very thin for a .424” bore. But I think one of the advantages of the 10.75x68 was it ability to produce moderate velocity at very low pressure.
36000 psi hence I suspect why the “16 TON” is stamped next to the caliber in one of the photos.

I am hoping to develop a load with the 347 grain RNSN Woodleigh at about 2200 FPS.
That should be more than enough for an open sighted rifle for medium and large game to moderate ranges.
