My 505 after major stock work by Brett Rosouw in Brisbane.
Oil finish, checkering redone, extra cross bolt, larger recoil reducer fitted as well as a Kick Eez recoil pad, and a couple of modifications to help with grip.
Next step is to get it Cerakoted.

LOL Marksman, I'm missing the little finger on my left hand, which can be a problem with big recoiling rounds, so the checkering, and for end slimmed down helps a lot.

Lovely looking rifle, you should be proud. You should enjoy plinking with her. Did you supply the blank?

Fantastic work Baz, it will be a fine rifle when finished.
I have never heard of Brett Rosouw , good to know we have another stock maker in SE Queensland.

No it's the original stock.

I asked Brett to make me a new one, and he said that it was a nice piece of timber, and that he could really do something with it, so I went with that.

To support the stock around the magazine area because she has a bit of grunt.

looks the same as mine cz550 .505, they must have something in the finish to give it that orange look.
Getting rid of that poxy single stud rear swivel is a nice touch as well, i did that on my .458lott

I agree cracker with the finish on the factory stock, with the recessed sling swivel, Brett suggested to do that as I don't use a sling, but more practical, I also got an Oval disc implanted under the stock, where I will get 505 Gibbs engraved.
You cant really tell by the photo but the checkering job is second to none, has a great feel to it.

Duncan, the 416 Rigby, is an Absolute Classic African Round, the 505 just takes it up a notch.
