The feed issues with your 223 can probably be fixed by taking a bit off the bolt stop, the bolt needs to come back past the base of the cases in the mag to pick them up.

Yep, bolt stop. Might be the same issue for your stevens too.

Thanks for those tips. After the first round the remaining rounds nose dive into the magazine so I thought it was the magazine. Will look at the Stevens/Savage bolt stop too.
Loaded with 69TMK it feeds like silk when single shoted.
