I used to use a light coat of G96 CLP at $37 a can.

Now I use Boston PML available at Bunnings for $3 a can. It cleans well with a light spray that is wiped off. If you leave it on and let it dry, it leaves a protective coating and it hasn't hurt the walnut stock at all.

Jarhead

Hi,

I live in Qld and having lots of rust problems & mold.

Started rubbing Gun Shiner all over external wood & metal.

Internal metal surfaces, I'm using generic sewing machine oil (Spotlight) & trying out Hornady One shot.

www.rebelgunworks.com.au/collections/al ... nish-200ml

Also, Ballistol on leather slings for mold.

See what happens

I use G96. Spray it generously on a cleaning patch and wipe down all metal.

I clean my rifle whenever I shoot, store or even just handle my rifle. You finger prints on the bare metal actually cause it rust fast

I don't have a dehumidifier just a few of those air absorbent bags. Dehumidifier sounds like it'll do it's job tho. Should work a treat
