Henry X model

Does anyone know if any of the new Henry X models made it onto any shop shelves in Australia? They were due a month or two ago, but the whole COVID saga may have delayed it. I’ll send an email to the wholesaler, but I was just wondering if anyone has actually sighted one somewhere.

What calibre would you go for?

It's a bit more expensive but you should go with a marlin 336. Only thing it doesn't have that the Henry does is the muzzle loading which isn't a deal breaker.

Can’t argue with you there, I’ve already got a 336 in 30-30. Laminated big loop model. Just after the Henry X for something different.

Well then we are in the same situation. I have a marlin 336 30-30 and am looking around for a 38/357 leave action to do some cheaper and more frequent shooting with.
To me personally the Henry looks cheap but marlins are so expensive considering i already have one.
I would be interested to hear what you end up going with.

Well I’ve also got a Henry Big Boy Steel in 38/357. I love my Henry’s and would highly recommend one. I won’t say that the Henry is any better or worse than my Marlin, both good rifles. I’d probably favour Henry, but it’s just personal choice and nothing else, nothing wrong with the 336. The reason for me being keen on a Henry X model is nothing more than the fact that it’s just a bit different, and sometimes I can’t help myself and just have to ad to the safe. Wish it came in 30-30 though.

Mine is 4570 topped with an expensive mini profile holo sight from vortex. Still unfired but that will change in a couple of weeks when I leave the city

Got an email back from the importer today. The Henry X model will be in the next shipment of Henry’s which is due early next year. No mention of how early or an estimated month of arrival. I guess they don’t really know for sure themselves.

I see this morning that Henry are bringing out the X model now in 30/30. If these make it to Oz I’ll be grabbing one of them for sure instead of 357 as I was originally thinking.

45.70 and 410 tube loaded also.
I'm not holding my breath for them here though.
There's some nice new Marlins out now.
And the Rossi citadel should land mid year. Small shipment will all be spoken for before they get here.

All weather 45/70 in the side gate was announced too, and a 410 X model has already been released in the States. Hopefully we see them here soon.
