Your thoughts??
Thanks

I tried to buy one to replace my mini14 during the buyback but they were out of stock so I bought a blr 243 instead .....remember for roo shhoooting the blr trigger is pretty awful and difficult to improve The front locking action of the blr is very capable of sub moa accuracy. It’s just the trigger that lets it down

Hi Mik280
Have you looked at the Tikka rifles. They are made well and seem to shoot well.
Many different variants in the 223.

I don’t need one. But I’d buy one. I was keen on a BLR in 243 for a while, but they’re expensive and I decided to go for a bolt action instead. But if your chasing closer range stuff with fast follow up shots, it’d fit the bill. A Remington 7600/7615 pump would suit too, but if your preference is to have a lever action over a pump go for it. I do personally love my lever actions. My use for them is just pure fun, I love the looks and the lines. I don’t hunt with them though.

I have quite a few Lever Actions Mick!! ( I’m a bit of a collector )
I’ve only ever used two of them for hunting,a 1894 .375 Win and an 1886 45/70.
The rest are just for fun and for the sake of having them I guess!!
The BLR I will definitely hunt with as my eyes aren’t what they used to be and I refuse to put a scope on one of my Winchesters!!

I like my BLR so much, thinking (dreaming) to buy another White Gold Medallion Maple 308...

Just curious SHV, (and don't take this the wrong way) are these all purchases? Or on loan?
At what point does lack of maintenance become patina?

a BLR in 223 would be cute but it would be better if they released one in 6.5 grendel or 6mm ARC, a bit more grunt and something handy enough to smack bigger game out to 400m :drinks:

some are mine, some are my friends' when we come together for hunting or range shooting, I take photos for theirs
I hope I bought a bigger gun safe but unfortunately it's limited space so I am done for gun purchasing already...
