Just a bit more than the 358, I'm onto my 3rd 358 and I love the round. I still have a 9.3x62 and its does a fine job just thinking of a SA light weight silly cartridge

I cant believe the level of stupidity you have, & that you seem so intent on showing others...![]()
I really hope you folks out there learning about the nature & physics of shooting arent taking anything of this diatribe on as anything more than an example of what NOT to aspire to...!!

Lawyer Daggett wrote:Gun writers don’t feature it much because it is not new. There are better rounds for specialist applications, but if you want a round you can pick up anywhere, for a sensible price, that is accurate and has all the power you need for most game, it is a logical choice.
Nick Harvey called it a ‘journeyman chambering’ and I had to reflect on that one. A journeyman’s vehicle is something like the Camry: reliable, reasonably priced but relatively uninspiring- it works.

You might consider putting up your new signature as a thread topic. Might be an interesting discussion.

For "point and shoot" I would go a .308.

But I might be pointing a long way away...

Yes the 30 06 beats the 08 in MPBR with any load especially the 165 grain spitzer boat tail doing 2900fps which was very easily achievable in my bdl 3006
