222 model 70’s shoot very well. Try 18.5 gn of 2205 with a 40 gn vmax. That load makes one hole in a few 222’s
As always work up to this load and consult a load manual to check the load first

I'm sure I've got a can of 2205 for a 223 load that I worked a load for a while ago.
I still need a set of dies and then the fun begins.

So did that test today. Primer did not fire. A very shallow impact point. (See image)

Then tried with bolt 3/4 closed. It fired. Mmm I hope that is enough.
