Anyone got one of these? Be great to hear what sort of ammo they prefer...
I've not spent any time shooting a 22-250. Any love out there for it? It'll mainly be a fox rifle. Might do a bit of target stuff with it if I can get it to group well.
Going to give one a bit of a birthday and throw a decent scope on it, put the original weaver 16x into storage.

not a great deal of experience with 22-250, but i own a few model 70's make sure the barrels floating, the triggers tune up real well , and bed it if you can .
i'm thinking 22-250 is a bit much for foxes , but it'll reach right out if you do your part . good varmit caliber

as for target shooting, the 250 generates a fair bit of barrel heat . you'd want to take your time between shots . enjoy a great old rifle

Thanks Rich. Its going to be less overkill than my 243 or 30-06 lol. (The 06 is another M70 - a featherweight that I've now got working pretty well).
I need something with a little more legs than the 17hmr, the obvious choice was a 204, but this 22-250 was also left to us from a mate who passed away.
Either ay it'll be fun finding out what its like.
