The shorter barrels of my RSI Rugers are definitely handy in the Lignum bush and ducking under branches when stalking the pigs.

I have done the steyr scout thing for all the reasons above, weight, and ease of getting through the thick stuff mainly
Winchester1300 defender pump shotgun
340 Savage 222 rem with VX1 4-12 x 40 Leopold
Steyr Scout with VX2 2-7x33 LR Leopold
Stirling .22 mod 14 with nikko Stirling 4x28
