Tikka action availability?

Post by S O K A R » 29 May 2022, 3:32 pm

Basically looking for a tikka action to buy, are these sold separately that anyone knows of?
I've been trying to find one but my efforts have turned up nothing as of yet

Starting to look like the only option left is to buy a tikka for the action I want & scrap the rest, unless someone knows of somewhere I can find an action?

Have you talked to Beretta Oz? They will be able to tell you if they've ever imported actions, but I would still just buy a rifle and turn it into what you want.

No luck on that front unfortunately, so will just have to buy a complete rifle and strip it
Expected as much anyway

In terms of getting a barrel made, looking at going through allan swan in QLD
A 3 month wait, I'm in no great rush, but if there are other options to consider, I'm open to suggestions

I haven't been able to source any Tikka actions either. Ended up pulling apart my T3X lite to rechamber. I have a barrel on order through Swan at the moment, I couldn't recommend anyone else, but there are a few out there,

Tikka 223 1:8 varmint stainless and 5 inch at 200 yards .
I also have a TAC A1 now that rifle is superbly accurate.
But that varmint was a PITA with anything over 55g pills.
Now you don't buy a 1:8 to shoot 55g you buy one for 75
And 80g projectiles.
And yes I confirmed it Actuly was a 1:8 .

My Ruger is 8"-twist and shoots 35gn just as well as 80gn bullets, and everything in between.

If you put up a wanted add on abused guns, you will probably get a few offers. A friend wanted a second bolt and got seven offers in a week.
