John, to the naughty corner please
:sarcasm:

Well if John can have a combo with barrel sets I would have a Vierling in 12ga, 12 ga rifled, 30R blaser and 9.3 x 74R

...with a second barrel set in 16ga, 16ga, 22LR and 8 x 57

Now just to decide the 3rd and 4th barrel sets hmmm...

This is my mates Vierling. It used to belong to the King of Sweden. Maybe one day he will sell it to me. It is worth a small fortune, literally.

Does it have to be a current manufactured rifle?

Hard decision if you want one gun to kill a sambar and not vaporise a rabbit.

If a combo for around here then a Blaser or Merkel 12g over a 308 (or 30-06 or 8x57 or similar) with QD mounts an a Leupold mark 8 1.1-8 x 24 illuminated scope.

if a non-current chambering is allowed then a Marlin 336 in 35 Remington with the same scope. Or a BLR in 358.

If I had to pick something you can buy off the shelf today that isn’t a combo for everything then I’d probably get a tikka T3 forest in 270 with a leupold mark 6 3-18x44.

Then you might like this.

Yes very practical. As soon as I get a NSW license I'll be looking at something from Merkel or Blaser.

Long story, but I can't get a license in this state (NSW) for 18 months so stuck with a bow for the moment.
I did think of moving over the border to Vic just so I could get a license again but that got vetoed by the missus.

Yes, bought it from Graeme Spraggon in NSW and had it installed by Rolf Batchnik in Melbourne. Its the L version which is 44cm long and to be honest the accuracy is surprisingly very good.

Heres a run down of it.

Hard to choose but either a good bolt action .22LR with scope or a nice side by side 12G.

If I could have a multi calibre I'd go either a blaser r8 ultimate x or a Merkel helix speedster

If it had to be a dedicated calibre I'd go ruger American in .243
Great calibre for anything and everything here in tas and don't have to care with a ruger
Throw it around in the Ute and still loves life

Very cool, I've seen them before but not the long version.
These are also interesting https://www.einstecklauf.de/classic.html (in German but Google can auto translate).

They are good but better for centrefires. I can always pull mine out and shoot the shotgun in a couple of minutes whereas I understand the full length ones are not so easy. I got a bockdrilling anyway so I've got a proper varmint barrel and its lighter.
