When you find those suprising outback stores

Over the years you visit different gunstores and I always get a kick out of the smaller outback ones that have some very unique or high end gear in them. No doubt some local customer who likes his wierd or high powered stuff. One I recently went to had various eye openers

375 Chey Tac Brass
3.5" 12ga brass, 15 pellet OO buck at 1450fps! Hate to be a pig in that region. And who even brought in 12 ga 3.5" shotguns?
416 Rigby Hornady ammo
Case loads of Murom primers.
3" 410 ga ammo, 1 3/4 oz loads!( never heard of any payload that high in 410)

Dissappointingly no pistol powders, they went long ago

Its always interesting having a poke around in the gun shops that are off the beaten track. One time I picked up a nice little erma lever action 22lr. In another one i got a sportco 22lr semi
22 hornets and most things 6.5

Always drop into regional and outback gun stores if your passing through a town, they often get a lot of second hand and deceased estate stuff in to sell and you see weird stuff on the shelf from time to time.

I'll stick with a 12g. Easier to get ammo that'll work in it

Mate they were in a hard plastic semi-clear fliptop box. Off online pic searches it looks like ''Petersens'' 50 brass packs?

if you want the store details I can PM.

That sounds like the brand I'm hunting right down to the box colour.

it would be much appreciated if you could send through those details.

Cheers,
