Number of magazines allowed (QLD)

Hey,

I live in Queensland and I don't have any guns at the moment but was wondering how many magazines I would be allowed to have for each rifle?

I would look up the rules and regulations from your state regarding magazines, but I would assume as many as you can pay for.

No limit on the number, just the capacity.

How many magazines are you expecting to need?

2-3?

No worries there. Some eyebrows might get raised if you have 50?

Magazines aren't controlled I thought.

Anyone with or without a license can buy one (or more) without question.

No licence in Tas.

The number of mags required depends on what your shooting mode is.

When I shoot from the inside of my shooting wagon and I get into a mob 2x5 round mags are never enough, but if I am just walking around 1 mag in enough.

I find a single mag is enough for hunting really.

By the time you've cycled 3-4 shots everything's long gone anyway.

Personally can't understand why guys put up with 10 shot mags in bolt action hunting rifles. Just gets in the way and is extra weight IMO.

Semi-auto would be one thing if you're culling herds, but not for bolt actions.
