Zastava rifles are usually of good fit and finish, they have been in the arms business since 1853 making cannon with small arms production from 1928 and made Mausers for the Kingdom of Serbia, the Third Reich, Yugoslavia and the AK47, AK74 etc as well as machine guns, sub-guns, pistols, cannons etc. and are still the main supplier of arms for Serbia and some other countries. I would not hesitate to buy a Zastava rifle, and between them and sau Howa it would come down only to price.
Do you have any opinions about the M85 specifically?
So far, I know that the M85 uses a mini Mauser action but with push feed instead of controlled feed. It often gets mentioned as a cheaper but rougher alternative to the CZ 527.
