9.3 x 74/12ga

Fellas anyone owned a 9.3 x 74/12ga combo? Seems there were a lot around years ago, pretty sure even Brno did one. Not sure if they are still available. I always wondered what accuracy would be like from the rifle barrel, whether they are hoping for more like lever action groups or they behave like a good single shot? Was thinking one would be the ducks guts for springing a pig or maybe a brumby . Off the numbers I am guessing its similar to 9.3 x 62 power.

I've not owned a 9.3x74/12g but I dod own a 308/12g and it was quite accurate indeed,just very heavy

Ive got a combo that is 7x57R/12G and a second set of barrels which are 9.3x74R.

My mate also has a similar set-up. Shot pigs and fallow with the 9.3x74R and kills them emphatically with 286gr Hornady interlocks.

A 9.3x74r x 12g , 16g or 20g is awesome combination. Probably not much on the planet you could not hunt with this combination. I love combination guns and drillings, because that’s what I learnt to shoot with as a small boy. I used to sit in the front seat of my grandfather’s old Anglia Ute, clutching his old drilling with both hands around the Crows Nest area. Never did we come back to town empty handed. We always got pidgeons, hares, ducks, and sometimes a red. In those days everyone new my grandfather and his Ute and we just shot from the road most of the time. Those were the days …
Anyway now I have three drillings . This is my 9.3x74r x 9.3x74r x 20g x 76mm double rifle drilling. Front trigger fires both 9.3 barrels in quick sequence one after another, rear trigger is for the shotgun barrel. It is built on a very slim 28 gauge action and only weighs 3.2kg. I love walking creek beds with this gun as it’s so quick to get off three shots on running pigs. Combination guns can be extremely accurate if they are made well.

Lol the only issue is that it's left-hand but other than that it's a beaut.

Thanks fellas, and very nice firearm there 9.3! I inherited a bunch of 3" 600grain brenneke black magnum slugs which are apparently a lot tougher than regular winchester foster types. Hence was thinking of 9.3 over 12ga as my poor mans double rifle, even for a scrub bull maybe. Next question is where do you find them. I remember now years ago there seemed to be glut of combo rifles- blokes with Valmet 412/512's, zoli's, brno, even beretta did one. Have just been searching and not having much luck. I cant afford a merkel or heym etc

30-06 / 16 gauge. But unfortunately it is right handed, and is missing one barrel…

I got a few of the 3" 600 grainers too. Special order. Geezus they boot but very accurate. I've use them out of my blaser Combo and they will group 2" at 50m no problems.
