Cz452? What else?

Hi everyone

I've been researching whcih .22lr rifle to purchase and had made my decision and of coarse everywhere in the inner Brisbane area doesn't seem to have any CZ452 in any series let alone with a 22.5" barrel.

The question is where shall I go from here, I'm not really that keen on waiting when none of the dealers seem to be able to give me a date. What are my other options? can anyone recommend a decent .22? Price point of a little under $1000 It will mainly just be used for plinking and the occasional rabbit so no need for 3-5K worth of rimfire rifle.

You do understand the 452 is no linger made and has been replaced by the 455?

Maybe thats why you're having trouble getting one.

Ask your dealer for a CZ 455

I bought a weatherby mkxxii (anschutz 64 action in weatherby timber) a few years back for $950. they've since been discontinued but I had to laugh when I saw one in a gunshop the other day new for $2000

Sounds like someones got their hand on something and it's not a WeatherbyMK xx11 !!!! Sure there a nice gun but not worth $2000-00 IMHO I saw my local GS were pulling the samething??

yeah you're right there westy, when a couple of sydney dealers were discounting them from $1300 ish to $950ish i bought one, cause at that money an anschuts action and weatherby timber is good buying,

at $2000 you'd just buy an anschutz for the lower price
