No. And I've used a 16g Merkel drilling. I didn't mind it.

Hi Jim, yes I have been using a Merkel 961L double rifle drilling since 2007. It is in 9.3x74R x 9.3x74R x 20 gauge x 76mm. It is extremely compact as it is built on a 28 gauge action. Weight is only 3.2kg, and it handles really fast. It has the driven hunt trigger which I absolutely love, fantastic gun for walking the tops of creek banks and gullies after pigs. Two quick shots with the 9.3, and it’s nice to have the shotgun for foxes etc on hand. The open sights are great, and even though I have a scope mounted, I use the open sights for most of my shooting. Mine is regulated for RWS 293 grain TUGS, but it shoots 320 grain Woodleighs about two inches apart at 50 meters, before crossing. Works well for me.
Bloody lovely gun.

You're quite sure the bullets are crossing? They're an inch apart at the muzzle, two-inches apart at 50m, and then they cross paths?

Yes, absolutely. You had me second guessing myself after you posted this, but I rechecked my regulation and found it was the same as I believed.
But bear in mind, this is shooting standing up, and not off a bench. Both shots were fired reasonably quickly, as this gun was designed to do. :D

Amazing guns Ive always wanted one of these, but as a regular yob with lever and bolt actions wondered if there are hidden realities. I mean the first time you take it to the range are you now in a different league of load developement to regulate a drilling, also can you get slugs to match somewhere dinner plate level where the rifle barrel lands at 40 yards? Can you shoot the rifle barrel at pigs 2 thousand times or is the engineering more based around some European bloke shooting only 25 animals a year ? Always see in ads' still locks up tight' so is it possible they sometimes wont?

Don't know but some people on this forum would be lucky to see 25 critters a year

One issue is cleaning 2 barrels.
