My bad, I thought there was an adjustment screw for weight.

Just put one of the spring kits in it and it should be a lot better, easy to do - takes about 10mins, I did my Brno mod 2 as it had a heavier trigger than I like so I bought a Lowey kit for it and it's a lot nicer to shoot now.

I thought NSW permits were similar to WA? $170 or something?

Or is that not the permit fee? Some other fee?

Could be confused...

In TAS per firearm you pay $13.50 to the government and up to $15 to the dealer.

The state isn't as draconian as some think.

Right. I was told by some bloke in NSW it was a lot more.

Obviously I've got some bad info. He's either making stuff up for getting ripped by his local.

Or maybe I got something wrong, anyway...

Now, no Chinese whispers, I didn't say it was a piece of crap. I've had a gunsmith work over the trigger and it's improved out of sight, now looking for a good day to poke some holes in paper. Bought a pack of Eley to add to my test ammo,

I've just fitted a shim and spring kit to my trigger on the cz 452.

The task took no more than 1/2 hour including testing, the instructions were clear and well thought out for safety.

I ended up using the heaviest spring that the kit came with the kit and the second largest shim witch gave me 400 grams of trigger tention witch is just under one pound, that is as light as I am happy to go, any lighter and my worked hardened fingers dont have the feel to use it well. The shim I chose gives me zero creep but enough sear engagement to be on the safe side as the next size up still engaged the sear.

A few goog thumps to the but, and a bit of rough bolt cycling proved it to be safe.

The trigger feels as good as my worked Remington trigger now, atleast to my fingers.

Just installed the Yodave spring and shim kit too in my 452. It's made a dramatic difference to the feel of the trigger. It used to have what felt like nearly a meter of travel before the sears engage. Now it's more or less immediate. Went with the second heaviest spring but may swap it out after some testing. Haven't had time to take any shots thus far, just dry firing.

Amazing how much better something as simple as a little spring can make your trigger pull.

My Ruger was a bit of a bitch to start, $5 spring and loving it.
