Winchester Super Grade 30-06. My new toy.

Post by tommyguns82 » 23 Aug 2014, 10:16 am

Well after toying up to get rid of my Remington 715 in 270 I decided to keep it for now and buy a 223. Wasn't looking hard for one but I was going to buy a tikka t3. Anyway I received a phone call from a shooting mate about one of his friends selling his winchester super grade. Not knowing what one was I on and off the idea cos I wanted something smaller then my 270.

After reading about what a super grade was I started getting excited ( I'm not a full on gun nut knowing what every model is) so I went down to the gun shop yesterday to buy it. The guy at the gun shop had a normal model 70 and his jaw almost hot the ground when he seen the blueing and when he seen the bolt he said my one doesn't look like that with a sad look on his face.

After we did the paper work the shop guy asked if he can have a good look at it. I was like sure. After 5 or so he said that gun brand new that made me very happy. Can't wait to take it to little river range today.

Now I have to get rid of the 270

Gotta love the M70's!! Very nice mate!
Kicking myself now, I ordered the Supergrade in 30-06 but my dealer didn't wear his glasses and ordered the sporter instead!! Hahaha still shoots under an inch!
Good on ya mate!
I really hope Export isn't actually Exported, mighty embarrassing for WA, hahaha I'll still drink it though

Yesterday when I took it out man it shoots so nice over the cheap and nasty Remington 715. But I think any model 70 will shoot very nicly

No such problem exists.
What is this "too many rifles" you speak of?
