Cheers Chaps
Lock n Load Wyong. There was a just as perfect Mosin M44 Carbine, absolutely brand new non refurbished the week before I missed out on............
I think from the same owner
You know .. they leave the "sold" beautiful rifles out on the racks for a few extra days just to piss you off and make you go in every day after that so you don't ever miss another "special" rifle but you always do scenario.
Well this time it actually worked and I got the Mauser :)
I believe that very few great rifles (inc value for money) ever get as far as the display stand and are nabbed almost as soon as they get in the shops door - bit like Used Guns and to some extent Oz Guns.

Apparently he needed some cash quick - at the time I thought it was a good fair price but its starting to look like a bit of a bargain. Im waiting for a price from a Sydney Mauser specialist for an insurance estimate.

Cheers Mausermate,
im currentlty hunting down a / the matching bayonet. I have been imformed that the American market had a few imports - still in grease with matching Brazilian stamped and numbered bayonets plus original slings.
My rifle has the original sling and possibly the original bayonet could still be with the previous owner.
Fingers crossed. ;)
