I wonder how much these are gonna go for? I don't even care about them looking like an AR, just a spring assisted straight pull would be awesome :)

Really surprised they're NSW legal actually

I had no illusions of them being WA legal ( ****** ). Not sure on price but if they are anything like the other mob producing AR's. I'll buy a Browning Maral anyway lol :D

100% support for these guys, and anyone (legally) manufacturing firearms in Australia.....

but

I'd like to see where how when Vicpol accept this firearm as cat B. Even if they did 'accept' it as a bolt action repeater, it will only be a matter of time until it is reclassified. It has happened.

Its a shame they've locked comments, yes, some will take the pi$$ out of a non-semi AR (yanks probably) but there are plenty of people here who will support this venture , even if they dont spring for the 8? thousand.

They'll play the 'resembles a military firearm' card straight away no doubt.

What would happen here if you'd already bought it legally under your category B license then they reclassified it?

Do you get to keep, but just no new purchases?

No, you'd be forced to surrender it.

You could sell it to someone with the right license (dealer or primary production/whatever it changed to) but you'd have to surrender it in the meantime too.

It's happened in QLD and WA before I think but can't remember the rifle in question. This was about 2 years ago I think? Anyone remember what I'm talking about?

Which would be bugger all people, and you'd be selling against others who've lost the "privilege" of it as well so you'd be getting squeeze on price.

It would sting anyone who has to give one up I reckon.
