Had a teacher back in my school days that refered to his 12gauge as Black Betty.

Well I've got an old double barreled S/S exposed hammer 12gge shotgun I've named 'Sebastian', that I've had for over 40 years.

I've no idea how it came about, especially since it's not even Italian.

I've never bothered to name any others, but it just seems to suit the old shotty.

My friends call my Savage 308 BAT/S 'Darth Vader', presumably because it's big and black and a little bit over the top. I call my 22 'useless piece of crap' which is starting to stick.

Yeah I don't know why but the 22 is so inaccurate even at 50 yards when we can put rounds through the same hole with the 308.

Our PTA arrived for the Nitro Express and it's almost finished, just awaiting the registration from the firearms registry so it can be stamped into the rifle and then blued/assembled! :D

My Howa 223 Varmint is Frankie. Short for FrankenHOWA because it's been choped and changed and built out of different bits from different places. A real Frankenstein's gun.

Colt Python is "Snake" or "The Snake". Colt 1911 is "Old Ugly". No4MkI is "Smelly". Mini-14 is "Minnie". The M-48 Mauser is "Yugo".
I've been asked: "How many guns do you need to have?" My answer remains the same: "One more."

I've got a Smelly and an Annie.
There's also a Mosin, a Winchester, a Manlicher, a Martini and a few others in the safe.
God we're an unimaginative lot are'nt we?
Now I'm going to have to think up some cool names just for fun.
I think I'll call the safe LED ZEPPELIN ... cos it's full of heavy metal  you saw that comming right?
