Hey Browning how does the Akkar combo go mate ? It's on my list of things I NEED, lol

Hey Mecca.. Love the Akkar mate...
Problem is I always find myself using the 20" barrel all the time.. It's just so bloody fun to use!! I don't find it too heavy, it's never let me down and just works brilliantly on pigs in the scrub... Been a great buy and one of my mates has recently bought the same combo... One the most used guns on every trip..(prolly just behind a tikka .308)

I hunt…I have one rifle, a .30-06. That will humanely kill any thing in N/E Vic.

I don't do bunny rabbits so don't want a rimfire…or if I feel like it just clobber them with the .30-06.

so what is it then? specifically? Im curious now

I own two rifles, a 22lr for practice and a 1943 Lithgow SMLE .303 because i love history

Because I want to have more than one and I can afford them. P.S. I live in Oklahoma, USA.

Yeah we have many elites' here that keep working to deny American Citizens our right. We are blessed that we have a Constitution, and that that Constitution contains a Bill of Rights that specifically identifies the Right of the People to keep and bear arms.

I could probably get by with just my Gunsite, it's my go to gun. But I tend to collect things. When I was a kid it was comic books and matchbox cars. When I got older I got into motorcycles and had anywhere between 10-15 in the garage at any given time.
Once I got into guns the same behavior carried over. It's not a need at all, it's a want. When I hunt I bring the 308 with me and keep a 22 handgun on my side. I could do fine with that. But plinking would get expensive with 308 and get boring with 22 I suppose. I

I just feel like it....one more is on the way....a Browning BL-22 lever action.

So that will make it a .22, .204 and a .30-06....pretty much covers everything.
Browning BL-22 lever action...open sights
T3 Varmint .204 Ruger...Meopta Meostar 4-16X44
T3 Lite .30-06 Sprg...Aimpoint Hunter 1X red dot

....that will do me

a chef uses all sorts of different knives to do his job
you wouldn’t use a small hand held vacuum to clean a 2 story building .
I wouldn’t use a 308 to shoot a rabbit

Myself personally I think the greens need to get their heads out of the sand

Dang... if all I could have is one gun, I'd pick a military caliber, grab a bunch of friends with their one guns apiece, and go change the rules.

On the other hand, maybe what these greenies you all suffer with mean is that they want everyone to have at least one gun...

One can hope.

Fishing gear is the same as the golf club analogy.

My old man has a knife collection. He's never stabbed anyone, but, he's hit a few windscreens and people accidentally with wayward shots playing golf.

Funny how golf ranges don't have "fall out zones."

Cos I need em is why. I don't have one pair of shoes, one set of clothes, why would I only have one firearm? If they made one that could do everything well I may consider it but sadly they don't, bit like golf clubs, fishing rods, tools, kitchen appliances etc etc, clearly more than one is needed to get the job done so to speak.

If nothing else...I collect firearms, long arms as a matter of fact, rifles and shotguns, I have over 60, and as the name implies mainly Bruno's, (and English Shotguns).

The golf analogy is correct, show me a golfer with one club, and yes there are shooters out there, in all disciplines, with just one gun. Its a matter of choice and the fact that we DO live in a free society that allows me to have this hobby.

I look at it this way, I could collect stamps, coins, playing cards, or rocks...BUT I choose to collect firearms, and enjoy the activities associated with them.

The same reason I have more than one fishing rod, I like to target different species. No use chasing mackerel with my bream gear (yep have done it before) but it just ain't the same, no use shooting rabbits with the 308 on a small property when a 22 with subs will do.

I've hit a mate with a fishing rod before

I'd better call the registry and get it listed as a weapon :problem:

I'll get them to start on some legislation about being 6 foot from fellow fishermen at all times

They would take your sarcastic idea and then run with it.
Next thing we’ll have fishing bays introduced no more than 1 person in each bay with a time limit as well.
