Hi Jimbo,

Not quite apples and apples here but probably close enough.

I've got the 550 American in .416. Timber stock instead of the 'real tree' plastic they do, but it's the same action, same single set trigger, hammer forged barrel and the rest.

Bit heavier in the .416, the Predator is 200 - 300 grams lighter which will be nice for you.

General info... Build quality is good and the rifle is more than accurate enough for hunting.

Trigger is decent, Timney and others also do aftermarket for the CZ550 if you want to replace with an adjustable.

I'm sure it'll perform as good as any other CZ550.

Googled this from shooting times.

I'd LOVE a CZ 550 FS, they dont make them in 7X57 at the moment, but I'd love to have one in that caliber ... DROOLSSS

The FS sure is nice. Sako Bavarian without the price tag.

Only available in .243 is the only hickup. Designed as all round European hunter I suppose.

Can't go wrong with the 550.

My American 550 in .308 is my go-to for pretty much everything these days.
