You'll be happy with the 240 blitz.

I ended up buying a fold up mount for it that I can fit to my roof racks, we found the passenger side snorkel in my ute got in the way a lot previously

I have a young relative who makes for a perfect voice operated mount. I had a lightforce spotlight many years ago with the cheapass plastic toggle switch on the back that broke 4th time I used it. The new version appears to have a much better switch so I'll see how it goes. Will be heading out to the range tonight to chrono some loads on the .204 and .375 cause you and the CombatWombat got me curious about the speed of the .204. Going to see how fast135gr of powder will push out the 350gr SMK's from the HTI. I'll throw a couple rounds down range, checking cases for signs of pressure after each shot. Currently the SMK's launch at 3070fps and I'm chasing 3150fps to match the factory loaded rounds velocity.

Cool, if I'm outta here at a reasonable hour (currently sitting in a jury room waiting to get not selected) I'll join you with my CZ. .204

Spent some quality time at the range tonight and fired a few rounds from both the .375 and the .204 and think I'm getting very close to finding the sweet spot, load wise for the .375. Seems a little more velocity is the key to improving groups, pushing the 350Gr SMK's to 3072fps yielded the best results so far and an E.S of 11 & 13 is damn impressive. I was a little undecided about the Atlas BiPod I'm using and after tonight I'll be trying something different as it's not as rigid as I'd like though it's perfectly fine on lighter rifles. Will load some rounds of 135.5 & 136Gr of AR2225 during the week and see which way accuracy goes though I consider 136Gr as my max for this powder and may have to see what else might make a suitable alternative.

The 204 seems a little up^ and downV but that 375 is as consistent as you could ever want a rifle to be!!!!!!! LOL

Yeah but for factory ammo it's ok, remember an SD of 14fps sounds less than ideal but remember that's at 4000fps, not 2700 fps like a .308. As a percentage it's fine and it's really a short range flat shooting cartridge which also helps eliminate major drop variations.

No I agree with you C but I was just saying a lot of factory stuff suffers from different powder charge. A 32 grn pill at 4000fps isn't going to suffer from to much bullet drop because of a change of 14 fps. :ugeek: :| :geek:
