So I'm guessing they only come in white?

What ever happened to making your own magazines? There was a topic here a while ago about checking the legalities of it.

Anyone remember the outcome?

Ahhh excellent thanks for that I was actually looking at a couple. I think I'll stick to wild dog.. Seems like the better alternative.

I got told the other day by the gun shop that there needs to be some modification to get the mag functioning correct (apparently feeding problems etc..)

Can anyone confirm or is the wild dog mag fine?

Modification? Doubt it...

Load and cycle a few rounds in and out to smooth things out and they should work fine.

That's all I've ever had to do with mags.

I still haven't tested the WildDog yet. I have been busy with work and all. I'm hoping to get to the range next weekend and pump a few through it and see how it goes.

The manufacturer specifies that it's suitable/compatible with a 7600 remington. I'll be pissed off if it doesn't cycle properly I paid $260 for it, IT BETTER EFFIN WORK!

Quick review:

Wild dog works flawlessly with the 7600! Sits snug with no room for play or wiggle. Feeds brilliantly into mag..

I'm looking at getting another magazine though to try next.. anyone heard of the lucky 13 mags?

I wonder if these are plastic or what?

Hit me up if you have tried them or know anyone that did..

Thanks,

No modification required. No gun smithing, it's an Australian custom made ready to use mag suitable for a 7600.

And phucktifiknow what Billet alloy is and can't find a defnition online... at least not clear ones.

Billet is a bar of metal. A billet alloy magazine means it was machined out of a block, rather than folded from a sheet.

It's often worded poorly in marketing making it sound like the metal itself is a substance name 'billet' which it's not.

Gold Coast Shooters supplies have KKK 10 rnd steel mags (7600/.308) for $70 each
Lucky 13 billet alloy 10 rnd mags (7600/.308) are about $180 each
Wild Dog mags seem to be even more expensive (I have heard of prices of $250 each) and so I never sort them out.

The KKK mags have a reputation for unreliability, yet I have 4 of them for my 7600 Police and never had a problem. The Lucky 13 mags are apparently very reliable, though they are very expensive. You can get your local gun smith to 'function test' magazines.
