Your fantasy rifle

Doesn't have to be practical or possible...

If a genie appeared and offered you any rifle you could dream up, what would it be?

Go :)

The only rifle I ever wanted, but will probably never have, is the one that Lt Gil Hanley carried in 'Combat'.

M1 Carbine.

Got a set of Dies. that's all.

Mine will come under the genie category...

I'd have a DTA SRS-A1 with interchangeable barrels/calibres in:

.223
7mm-08
7mm Rem Mag
.338 Lap

You'd need a powered buggie like the oldies use to carry their golf clubs around.

Maybe an M110.
Can't go past a classic M1 Garand in 30-06 Springfield though. Hmm, okay, make that two Garand's. Better have a sporter chambered in 25-06 Remington too!
.22LR, .222 Remington, .12g. But it's not the same when they don't live in your safe :P

This is on the cover of Gun World magazine this month.

Barrett MRAD 338 Lapua

with this scope.

Nightforce ATACR 5-25x56mm

Neither of these items are illegal where I live, they have not banned bolt actions (yet). But at $5800 for the rifle and $2300 for the scope they might as well be. As long as we're dreaming here I might as well throw in the $1500 308 conversion kit.

I'm with Baz on the H&H but it's gotta hit like a 577 and have the recoil of a 223.

And I'd like the genie to include a wolverine type thing where if it gets a scratch it will heal over straight away.

Oh, and lifetime free ammo, magic pudding style when as you use a round it replaces itself. And never need cleaning and... I'm getting really exited? When's it turning up did you say?
