G'day everyone.
Here's the story...
I have a Tikka T3 sporter in .308 which is fine.
It's use for a bit of hunting and on the range for fun.
This has been my first rifle and it's all broken in now and I'm thinking about expanding the collection a bit
I must admit, .308 is about the limit of my tolerance for recoil.
I'd like a .223 rifle for the range, but that's then no good for hunting.
Since I would have a dedicate range rifle if I got the .223. I thought the Ruger Guide Gun could be a good option and I could go up to a 30-06 or .300 win mag for a better hunting cartridge but with the brake that the Guide Gun comes with it would still be easier to shoot than the stock barrel .308?
I'd sell my .308 sport and have a dedicated small calibre range rifle, and powerful hunting rifle to be used less so that wouldn't be a big deal.
Is my thinking right for the levels of recoil for the brake? What's everyone view on the Ruger Guide Gun too?
