.500 Nitro Express years ago at the Belmont Range.

Targets were pictures of large game animals.

Did it once, said thank you, not for me.

.458 WIN MAG and I hated it...to much recoil. A .30-06 will do me.
Browning BL-22 lever action...open sights
T3 Varmint .204 Ruger...Meopta Meostar 4-16X44
T3 Lite .30-06 Sprg...Aimpoint Hunter 1X red dot

....that will do me

Whoever designed/sculpted that guy has obviously never carried a thing in their entire life.

Looks like he's trying to do his back in.

No mate it's a complete 355 mm shell for the gun pictured.

This gun sits outside the Istanbul military museum and is the same as the ones that formed part of the defences over the Dardanelles. All of the original Turkish defences were melted down 50 odd years ago and this may be one of the only samples remaining.

As for how he's carrying it I believe that is how these shells were carried (most likely with straps over the shoulders) but probably only short distances between crews it's quite a common image over there and may be more symbolic than anything else.

Remember the Otomans with only 2 battle ships dealt a huge defeat to the British and allied navy's which is what sparked the Gallopili campaign. That victory is still celebrated today

I can see it now.... 4 rifles side by side, buttplates against the chest.

Stick through all the trigger guards so you can pull them simultaneously.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

How far back do you think you would fly Brett?

Just have the DTA, McMillan & Barrett 50's at the moment (No.4 is in transit :D ) with a combined mass of 73 lbs. Firing the DTA off the hip moves me a good 2-3 feet backwards so I'm guessing if I could manage to fire the 3 of them I'd be well and truly knocked on my ass needing urgent medical and psychological assistance :D

Here is my .50.

It goes on an AR-15 lower with special stock and hammer (not shown) and takes a 5 round mag. Safety Harbor .50.

The ammo in the can is armor piercing incendiary, the ammo in the box on top is tracer, and the ammo in the magazine on the arm of the chair is Raufoss MK211 high explosive armor piercing incendiary.

I've fired approx 100 rounds from an 84mm Carl Gustav throughout the course of 80's and 90's.

I loved that weapon.

Thats an impressive photo!!!

The Sandy machine gun shoot is on my bucket list. Saw a YouTube video of it. Blokes firing quad .50's and everything else that we can't have.

Maybe next year after I've sorted a few things.
